Arbor AG, an Emmental-based company with a dynamic workforce of over 70 employees, was aiming for comprehensive digitalization.
As a partner, we provided advice and actively supported the implementation. Our approach began as hybrid and led seamlessly into the cloud.
On the road to the future: Arbor AG goes digital
Arbor AG is driving forward the digitalization of its processes. Traditional Windows applications were temporarily operated locally, while the use of Microsoft 365 apps and features was strategically expanded and integrated into internal processes. At the same time, the foundations were laid for the cloud in order to make the infrastructure fit for the future. The strategy was characterized by innovation and progress in order to strengthen competitiveness in the long term.
How do we operate locally and make the transition as smooth as possible?
Arbor AG has integrated the Microsoft Azure Cloud in-house and simultaneously introduced classic user management and modern cloud management. Our security strategy includes cloud integration, conditional access and identity protection.
Legacy applications and modern workstations have gone hand in hand. Virtual desktops in our own data center were secured by the cloud. We have broken through boundaries by combining traditional IT with cloud technologies. This has made us flexible, secure and fit for the future.
The transformation to the cloud is simple and almost done
Our plan was to replace legacy applications as the last dependency. Until recently, the internet connection was a bottleneck, but fiber optic expansion has now also arrived in Lindental. This infrastructure enabled us to maintain operations and drive forward the transformation to the cloud at the same time.
The changeover is usually not noticeable for users, and a migration in the classic sense could be dispensed with.
